Our Story
Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant is a premier multi-generational Mexican restaurant in Ankeny, Iowa. Our restaurant was founded by our current owner’s father in 2003, and has been a staple in the community since! We're always looking for new ways to delight our customers. That's why we offer a lunch buffet every day, so you can come in and enjoy all of your favorite menu items without having to worry about what you're going to order! Our menu is filled with authentic Mexican dishes and we are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies. We offer delivery, dine-in, patio seating, catering, and takeout, so you can enjoy your favorite meal at home. Whether you're looking for a light appetizer like chips and salsa or a hearty entree like our enchiladas, you can always find delicious options at Guadalajara!

Exceptionally delicious. Carne asada was outstanding. The steak was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of char, and the sautéed onions added a rich, savory sweetness. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, the beans were tasty, and the guacamole was fresh. Tall pour of Dos Equis Amber completed the experience. Busy friday night, but I was seated quickly. Service was top notch, and waiter was very attentive. This is a five star establishment. I'll definitely be back!
